The 5-storey Wilhelminian corner building with side wings was renovated, the flats were converted and upgraded, the roof was converted to residential use and the design of the façade was revised.
A significant portion of the ground floor commercial space was newly developed and the spacious flats were reorganised. The flats received new balconies on the courtyard side and, where possible, floor-to-ceiling windows. In the attic, two large new flats were created with several roof and roof-top terraces. The street façades were given new decorative elements based on a structure of Berlin façades from the imperial era, giving them a smaller structure. Lifts were installed in the courtyard.
The conversion and refurbishment has created a representative corner building with 23 flats and 4 commercial units thanks to the elevation of the roof, the new facade design and the high-quality finishing.
