Facts

A representative building was created for the former post office building in Dahlem as part of a redevelopment concept.

The upper floors have been preserved as offices and apartments, the ground floor with counter hall and parcel handling completely rebuilt. The main measures were the drying of the masonry in the KG, the installation of a large central elevator and the extension of the attic. Suspended ceilings were removed in the counter hall, representation rooms divided up, and the parcel hall was converted into a multi-purpose hall. The client favoured an interior design concept in the style of the erection period – inspired by the Wilhelminian Baroque.

A representative building based on history was built and rented to the Turkmen Embassy.
