The main restaurant in Berlin's Zoological Garden was showing signs of age - the existing "canteen" charm was to give way to a new, more inviting design.

In collaboration with interior designer Karin Götz, a concept was developed that integrated the existing kitchen areas. A new corporate design was developed by beMATES Creative agency to accompany this concept.

In the space of two months, a modern design was realised that combines a cosy Berlin coffee house atmosphere with references to the historical and social life of the zoo.
