An apartment house with 45 apartments and underground parking is being built on the undeveloped property in the Berlin suburb of Pankow. The structure of the building with four full floors and a staggered floor is adapted to the scale of the surrounding buildings and incorporates the colours and materials of the surroundings and interprets them in a contemporary manner.

In the field of tension between a listed summer villa, suburban multi-family housing development and the remaining small-scale structures of the former village centre, the design responded to different requirements. With a distance of more than 50 metres, the new building respects the monument, but reconfigures the street space as a closed structure, thus completing the suburban multi-family house development with respect to the remaining village structure.

In the increasingly popular residential area, a contemporary new building is being built with family-friendly apartments with views of the countryside and good connections to city life.
