In the side wing of the Berliner Gründerzeithaus, an apartment on the top floor was converted to suit families.

All fixtures and some walls were removed. Spacious, high rooms could be realized through interception constructions. The apartment received an additional balcony. Bathroom, guest toilet and cloakroom form a completely redesigned block at the entrance area. The dining room with open kitchen became the central room, which receives additional light by skylights. The bathrooms have been completely redesigned, the floorboards have been renewed and in the small living room a plaster-free wall forms a delightful contrast to the smooth white surfaces of the other fixtures.

Thanks to the reconstruction measures, a high-quality living space in the side wing could be created.
